About
Mary Ann

Mary Ann McCain - LPC

I have over 35 years of experience, training, and education in the field of creating healing environments in mental health systems. My passion is to assist those who are willing and desire a spiritual connection with our beautiful Mother Earth, themselves, and others. I believe that we all share an innate wisdom within us which hungers for these connections. Together we weave a sacred spiral that is unique to your life.

I come from the lands of Ireland. My Grandparents embarked on the journey here in the late 1800’s and became farmers after the potato famine in Ireland. I also have a deep connection to the Native tribes on this continent and continue to explore and take part in ceremonies that re-connect me to my Ancestors and their ceremonies.

My journey has taken me to many parts of my own psyche and continues to reveal secrets of the old ways and how they are so necessary in the world today. My role is to share these ways and inspire individuals to step on their own path to healing, joy, and love.

burning sage
  • Shamanism is an ancient healing art. We come into this world with a true soul essence. Restoring and re-membering who we really are is the primary purpose of this modality. Shamanism looks at trauma from a different perspective and helps us reclaim parts of ourselves to live freely and openly. With the assistance of your Helpers and Ancestors who have always been with you, we work together to weave the intricate patterns into wholeness.

  • Psychotherapy is a relationship between a trained therapist and an individual attempting to identify difficult emotions and life situations that are creating conflict within the internal processes of the individual. As the therapist, it is my role to create an environment that is safe and allows you to explore, discover, and choose your own path to wholeness.

  • Group sessions, ceremonies, women’s circles…all favorites of mine. Group processes are magical and create an amazing space for creativity, healing, and connection.

I love to teach and offer supervision to those who are in the process of becoming credentialed and those who need hours for licensure.

I am open to so many avenues of connection. I have much wisdom and experience to share with those who are seeking paths to enrich their lives.

Retrieval of

the Sacred

If we remember our connection to the land, the medicine of the plants, trees, stones, the animals, and the ceremonies; Mother Earth will begin to heal. Once this occurs, the people will begin to remember many things they have forgotten; those sacred spaces and places we once called home. This can only bring good into our lives and the lives of others.

Retrieval of the sacred is a journey into the psyche and rediscovering our true soul essence.

It is a wide range of therapeutic modalities that create a holistic approach to address the needs of the individual. Retrieval is restoring what has been misplaced, lost, and/or forgotten and embracing the Divine that lives within us and around us.

Our true soul essence is ever-present. When collaborating with Spirit Helpers, Ancestors and Mother Earth’s natural ecosystems and spirits, we begin to restore and reclaim our DNA structure that connects us to all living entities.
